My granddaughter's mother was involved in a same sex marriage with another female. The other female was involved with her children's father that was in prison for having massive amounts of drugs in her home; over 440 grams and weapons. As the time became close for him to be released from prison the female filed for divorce of her same sex spouse. Unbeknownst to my son the child's biological father; the biological mother became pregnant during a work related tryst the two had. He didn't learn of the child being born until she was 4-6 months of age. At the time the two females were going through divorce proceedings. The referee in the initial case decided it was best to leave the child in the custody of the ex-wife and had CPS investigate my son. Their conclusion was he was to self-involved to parent his daughter. Since that time both parents have exhausted their resources and the child remained with the ex. I've had very little interaction with my grandchild, yet there is evidence of psychological and other abuses. The biological mother has reported this several times to no avail. I am seeking custody due to both parents seemly more concerned about their current and former partners than the welfare of their daughter. During a recent call with the biological mother's adopted mom I was told my grandchild repeatedly stated "No one loved her". I have sought help from numerous people here in the Twin Cities and no one has responded. It is imperative that I connect with my granddaughter. The last time we saw each other she kept repeating "how much she missed me". Now the ex wants to take her to California after Christmas. Now that she's old enough to talk. Please Help
