Comments
-Charges were over charged on all counts
-jury selection in Washington DC- biased jury, ALL of them were affected by the events of that day and days surrounding the protest.
-violation of Due process- Right to a Speedy Trial (defendant waited 400+ days to be brought to trial, without waiving the Speedy Trial Act).
-Judge had the opportunity to rule on Speedy Trial violation. When defendant brought up the power for the judge to do that, judge stated he could 'take it to appeals'. Defendant was remanded and judge is waisting time and money that defendant does not now have, because of incarceration.
-Judge told defendant before the trial even started that "you're going to jail" when this case is over- Predetermined guilt.
- Many other injuries
