Judge Wellington recuse herself from ruling over any cases that involve me and my family, custody, PTOs, and criminal. She has been biased in her handling of our custody case. She has been negligent in her rulings, and negligent in the writing of her final orders. J
The orders are so badly written that they have confused Arlington County Police, Arlington County School Board, Alexandria City, me, and my family. She gave oral modifications to the orders and stated that they had to be followed, however, the powers that be stated that what is written is enforceable. She would not allow evidence of Ray Simon’s violent past to be admitted into evidence, I tried repeatedly to admit evidence of his violence towards his daughter, my grandson, my property, and myself. She said she would not look at it. I asked her to talk to the children of 2months to hear the fear they had regarding Ray Simon. My grandson asked if he could speak to her in court on September 6, 2023, to tell of his fear. She said, “Tell it to your guardian ad litem.” He answered I can’t get her on the phone.
After she signed her negligent order and ordered me to bring my granddaughter to the courthouse to get with Ray Simon, then and only then did the Judge ask to speak with my granddaughter because she was so hysterical at having to go lift with a man who had been violent to her and her family. Judge Wellington was allowed to talk to her, and the Judge spent 2 hours vouching for Ray Simon, she said, Your father is a very nice man, and he won’t hurt you he loves you.” You should give him a chance.” How could this Judge represent a man she knows nothing about? That is not her job, her job is to rule fairly and unbiasedly. She is always 2 hours late for the hearings. She also appears to have cognitive deficiencies, She can’t remember names, or what she wants to say, and she spends 20 to 30 minutes looking over and shuffling the files of the case around, after having us wait up to an hour to go over the file in chambers, The fact that she needs to go over the files an additional 20 to 30 minutes put her cognitive skills in question.
She also allowed evidence that was unlawfully obtained to be admitted by the GAL against my objection that the evidence was altered, and unauthenticated. The officer who passed the evidence is now under Internal Affairs Investigation as of this date. This Judge should not handle cases involving grandparents and parents. She is jilted by the loss of the case her daughter won against her stating that she shouldn’t be allowed in her grandchildren’s. She would not listen to any evidence against Ray Simon, but since her ruling, he has been violent, and charged with a crime against my family, he has a 20-year history of violent crimes, I had that evidence, but she refused to look at it and rule fairly. Sophia Alford has mental health issues that played out in court, the judge is so biased in her thinking she accused Sophia Alford of possibly not being genuinely mentally ill. The Judge stated her bias in court, she made this statement to Ray Simon’s attorney, I like you. You have done a great job in making your client look favorable to the court.
Now my granddaughter has not seen her doctor for ongoing medical issues, she has not been in therapy, and she is being emotionally, and psychologically abused. Judge Wellington also refused to hear several motions we filed to have her taken off of our family cases. She also let the previous GAL that I asked to have removed to choose her successor, her long-time friend of 30 years. He came into this case biased as well. I filed a complaint against the first GAL with the BAR of Virginia, they sent a letter to file to have her removed and seek legal action against her. She received the letter as well. They took her suggestion, and he had not done his job either. I had a PTO on Sophia Alford, my daughter. She violated the PTO many times, and we proved it, the Judge acquitted her on my charge, and convicted her on the charge involving her son. Which further proves her biased and noncognitive behavior? Beyond all of our complaints against the Judge, the most damaging is the confusion her orders have caused in the community and the unrepairable damage my grandchildren have suffered.
She threatened to arrest my son because he looked up a the ceiling due to his frustration with her not being able to remember his name after he told it to her 5 times. She was not honest about my behavior in her orders, and I was not unruly, she was a bully towards me and my family.
The children were honor-roll students under my care, and due to the harm the Judge’s orders have caused, my grandson has gone from a 4.10 to a 3.02 GPA, he is depressed, and is losing interest in many of his normal activities. Ray Simon has NEVER followed the court order, and the Judge is solely to blame. She has harmed my family, and it will take years to undo the damage she has caused. We have a right under
